Attention.
When opening the fuel filler cap, first unscrew the cap a little and wait until the fuel vapors stop coming out, accompanied by a characteristic hiss. Then fully unscrew and remove the cover.
Fuel splashes are dangerous. Fuel can cause burns to the skin and eyes, and lead to poisoning if it enters the gastrointestinal tract. Fuel can splash out of the filler neck if the fuel tank is overpressurized and the filler cap is loosened and removed too quickly.
Before filling the fuel tank, stop the engine and always keep the filler neck clear of sparks and open flames. Do not smoke when refueling your vehicle.
Fuel vapors are dangerous. Fuel vapors can be easily ignited by sparks or open flames, which can cause severe burns and injury. Also, using a fuel cap that is not designed for your vehicle, or missing a cap on the filler neck, can cause fuel to leak or splash out and result in severe burns or death in the event of an accident.
Always use only a genuine Mazda branded fuel cap or a fully equivalent approved Mazda product. To purchase a cover, contact a service station of an authorized Mazda dealer. Installing a cover that is not designed for your vehicle may result in malfunction of the engine power system, as well as the emission control system.
