Note:
- If the ignition switch is in the position «ACC» («Auxiliary consumers of electricity»), then the buzzer «Ignition switch not in position «OFF» («Ignition off») has priority over the indicator of external lighting not switched off.
- You can change the volume level of the audible indicator of not switched off lighting at your discretion.
Airbag and pretensioner warning buzzer on the front seats
If a malfunction is detected in the airbag/pretensioner front seat belt system and the corresponding visual malfunction indicator, the audible malfunction indicator will come on. A warning tone will sound every minute for about five seconds.
The airbag/pretensioner warning chime will sound for approximately 35 minutes. It is necessary to immediately contact the service station of an authorized Mazda dealer for car repair.
Attention.
- Do not continue to operate the vehicle if the airbag/pretensioner system warning horn is sounding.
- It is dangerous to continue driving the vehicle if the airbag/pretensioner system malfunction audible warning sounds. In the event of an accident, the airbags and front seat belt pretensioners will not deploy, which could result in death or serious injury to the driver and passengers. It is necessary to immediately contact the service station of an authorized Mazda dealer for car repair.
The audible alarm of the unbuckled seat belt
Front seats
If the vehicle speed exceeds 20 km/h and the driver/front passenger seat belt is not fastened, the buzzer will sound continuously. If the belt is left unfastened, the chime will stop and then resume for approximately 90 seconds. As soon as the driver (passenger in the front seat) fasten the seat belt, the signal will stop.
Note:
- If there are items or luggage on the front passenger seat cushion, the seat belt warning function may be activated depending on the weight of the items.
- In order to ensure the normal functioning of the load sensor built into the front passenger seat cushion, the passenger should not place an additional cushion and sit on it. Otherwise, due to the influence of the additional cushion, the built-in load cell will not work properly.
- If there is a child in the front passenger seat, the horn may not respond at all to an unfastened seat belt.
Backseat
The buzzer will only sound if the passenger in the rear seat unfastens the previously fastened seat belt.
Buzzer warning that the ignition switch is not in the position «OFF» («Ignition off»)
If the ignition switch is in the position «ACC» («Auxiliary consumers of electricity»), six warning chimes will sound when the driver's door is opened and the red keyless entry system warning light will flash to remind the driver that the ignition switch is not set to «OFF» (in the case of vehicles with instrument cluster type A, the messages are displayed in the instrument cluster). In this case, the car keyless entry system will not function, the car cannot be locked, and the battery will be discharged.
Audible alarm for removing the electronic key from the vehicle
Below are the conditions (for the case when the ignition switch is not switched to the position «OFF»), upon execution of which an audible signal is activated and the red indicator of the car access system without a key flashes constantly. This is designed to warn the driver that the smart key is outside the vehicle (in the case of vehicles with instrument cluster type A, the messages are displayed in the instrument cluster). The red keyless entry warning light will stop flashing when the smart key is back in the vehicle (in the case of vehicles with instrument cluster type A, the messages are displayed in the instrument cluster).
Ignition switch not switched to position «OFF», and all vehicle doors are closed after the smart key is removed from the vehicle (six warning beeps will sound).
Note: Since the electronic key uses a low-power radio transmitter, the key removal alarm may also be triggered when the key is located with a metal object or placed in an area with poor radio reception conditions.
Acoustic signaling of blocking the action of external lock control buttons (vehicle with advanced keyless entry system)
Below are the conditions (for the case when the electronic key is with the driver and the button on the front door handle is pressed), during which an audible signal sounds for approximately two seconds to warn the driver that the car's doors cannot be locked:
- open (or closed tightly) one of the doors or liftgate;
- ignition switch not switched to position «OFF».
Audible alarm when the key is in the luggage compartment (vehicle with advanced keyless entry system)
If the smart key is left in the luggage compartment when all doors are locked and the liftgate is closed, the buzzer will sound for ten seconds to remind the driver that the smart key has been left in the luggage compartment. In this case, open the liftgate by pressing the power lock control button and remove the smart key from the luggage compartment. The smart key removed from the luggage compartment may not work because its functions have been temporarily disabled.
Sound signaling about the presence of an electronic key in the car (vehicle with advanced keyless entry system)
If the smart key is left inside the vehicle and all doors, including the liftgate, are locked with another smart key, the buzzer will sound and beep for ten seconds to remind the driver that the smart key has been left in the vehicle. In this case, the door locks, including the liftgate, will be locked, but the functions of the smart key left in the vehicle will be temporarily disabled.
I-stop warning horn
If the driver's door is opened when the i-stop system is activated and the engine is stopped automatically, the green i-stop system indicator will flash and the horn will sound at the same time, warning the driver that the engine has been stopped by the system. The horn will turn off when the driver's door is closed.
Speed limit alarm function
When a pre-set speed limit is exceeded, a single beep sounds and the corresponding indicator in the instrument cluster turns on. You can change the speed limit and set the speed limit at which the alarm will sound as you wish.
Tire pressure warning
If one or more tires are under-inflated, an audible warning will sound for three seconds.
Low outdoor temperature alarm
The alarm warns the driver of the car about a decrease in the outside temperature and the possible formation of ice on the road.
When the outdoor temperature drops below 4°C, a warning tone sounds and the temperature indication digits on the display flash for about ten seconds.
Audible alarm of the danger alarm system during rebuilding (some performances)
The audible alarm comes on at the same time as the RVM visual alarms start flashing.
Note: The volume of the beeper can be changed.
Lane Departure Warning Buzzer (LDWS)
If the system detects that the vehicle is deviating from its lane while the system is running, it will sound a warning chime.
Note: The volume level of the warning tone can be changed as you wish.
