Attention.
- A hot engine and engine oil can cause various burns. You must turn off the engine and wait until it cools down.
- A vehicle that is raised on a lift but not secured with safety stands is dangerous. It may come off and fall, causing death or serious injury. Do not work around or under a raised vehicle that is not supported by safety stands.
- Prolonged skin contact with used engine oil can cause skin cancer. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water immediately after handling engine oil.
- If engine oil is spilled on exhaust system components, it must be wiped up immediately. Otherwise, after heating the exhaust system, spilled oil will cause unpleasant odors.
1. Place the car on a level surface.
2. Remove the oil fill cap.
3. Remove the service port cover (installed in the front protective tray No. 2), used to drain engine oil.
4. Remove the drain plug from the oil pan.
5. Drain the engine oil into a suitable container.
6. Install the drain plug with a new gasket in the oil pan and tighten to 30-41 Nm.
Note. The amount of oil remaining in the engine can vary greatly depending on the oil change method and oil temperature. After changing the oil, it is necessary to check its level in the engine.
7. Fill the engine with the required amount of appropriate engine oil (see section "Technical data" at the beginning of the chapter).
8. Install the oil fill cap.
9. Start the engine and check for oil leaks. If oil leaks are found, repair or replace the relevant component.
10. Check engine oil level.
11. Install the service port cover.
12. Diesel engine versions: Reset the engine oil data.
