Removal and installation of the current sensor
Attention. Disconnect the current sensor connector before disconnecting the negative battery cable. If you first disconnect the negative battery cable, the engine control unit will erroneously detect a signal from the current sensor, which will adversely affect the engine management system.
1. Disconnect the current sensor connector.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Remove the current sensor.
4. Install the current sensor.
5. Connect the current sensor connector.
6. Connect the negative battery terminal.
Checking the current sensor
Checking for Trouble Codes
1. Connect the M-MDS device to the DLC-2 diagnostic connector.
2. Check for trouble codes using the M-MDS. If a fault code associated with the current sensor is found, repair the fault.
Visual check of the current sensor
1. Disconnect the current sensor connector.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Remove the current sensor.
4. Check that the current sensor is not damaged and that the connector is not corroded or damaged. If any defects are found, replace the current sensor with a new one.
