Attention.
- Do not allow brake fluid to come into contact with painted surfaces. This fluid contains substances that can dissolve body paint. If brake fluid gets on a painted surface, immediately wash it off with plenty of water and wipe the surface thoroughly.
- Do not mix different types of brake fluid (hydraulic clutch fluid), otherwise the clutch may not work properly.
- Do not reuse a previously drained clutch fluid, otherwise the clutch may not work properly.
Note: This reservoir is used for hydraulic clutch and brake system.
1. Remove front protective tray #2.
2. Remove the reservoir cap.
3. Drain the clutch hydraulic fluid through the bleed valve.
4. Fill with fresh working fluid up to the MAX mark on the tank.
Note: Clutch fluid: SAE J1703 or FMVSS116 DOT-3 or DOT-4 brake fluid.
Attention. In the process of removing air from the clutch hydraulic system, it is necessary to maintain the fluid level in the reservoir at least 3/4 of the full volume.
5. Remove air from the hydraulic clutch:
Connect the vinyl tube to the bleed valve.
Place the other end of the vinyl tube into a clean reservoir filled with brake fluid.
Clutch C66M-R, C66MX-R
Clutch D66M-R, 066MX-R
The work should be done by two people: the first one needs to unscrew the bleed valve, and the second one - to press the clutch pedal all the way for about three seconds or more, and then keep the pedal depressed.
After waiting at least five seconds, you need to tighten the air bleeder again.
Slowly release the clutch pedal for three seconds or more while holding back the force of the return spring. Wait at least five seconds.
Repeat the procedure by depressing and releasing the pedal until air stops escaping through the vinyl tube in the form of bubbles.
Fill the reservoir with brake fluid up to the MAX mark.
6. Install the tank cover.
7. Install front pan #2.
