Checking the rear final drive oil temperature sensor
Attention. Hot main gear oil can cause various burns. Wait until the rear final drive has cooled down before carrying out maintenance.
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Disconnect the connector and remove the rear final drive oil temperature sensor.
3. Place the sensor in a plastic bag and submerge it in a container of water. Gradually heating the water in the vessel, measure the resistance between terminals A and B of the rear final drive oil temperature sensor. If the measured value is not correct, check the condition of the sensor wires. If the wires are OK, replace the rear final drive oil temperature sensor with a new one.
4. Install the rear final drive oil temperature sensor and connect the connector.
5. Connect the negative battery terminal.
