Replacement of the left epiploon of a distributing box

1. Drain the transfer case oil.

2. Remove the transfer case from the vehicle.

3. Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the lip of the gland as shown in the illustration and remove the gland.



4. Using a mandrel and a hammer, press in a new oil seal.


5. Apply fresh transfer case oil to the lips of the oil seal.

6. Install the transfer case on the car.

7. Fill oil into the transfer case.
