Motorized Radio Antenna Installation Details
1. Remove the cover under the panel, the glove compartment, the heater air duct and the fan assembly.
2. Remove the side trim and disconnect the antenna feed, but not the power.
3. Remove the antenna motor mount with antenna feed wire.
4. To remove the antenna, first insert a straight-blade screwdriver into the slot on the antenna pole and pry the antenna back approximately 1-2 centimeters as shown in the accompanying illustration.
Insert a screwdriver into the antenna pole and pull the antenna to pull it out
5. Apply battery power to the B and BG terminals of the connector and remove the antenna from the engine as shown in the accompanying illustration.
Power up the battery as shown to remove the antenna from the engine
6. Loosen the two screws securing the antenna to the pole and remove the antenna pole from the chassis.
7. Install the antenna on the body and insert the toothed end of the antenna drive into the engine. Apply power as shown in the accompanying illustration to pull the antenna into the motor and insert the antenna pole into the motor until it snaps into place.
Insert the antenna cable and apply voltage to pull it into the engine
8. Install the engine and suspension assembly.
9. If the antenna does not come out completely, run the engine several times to automatically adjust the slack in the antenna cable.
