2. Start the engine and warm it up to normal temperature.
3. With the engine idling, disconnect each hose and check the vacuum line as shown. There must not be any vacuum in ports A, B and C. However, ports D and E must have intake manifold vacuum.

4. Repeat the test with engine speed above idle. Ports A, B, and C should have vacuum, but ports D and E should have less vacuum than the intake manifold.
