Fuel tank door
To open the fuel door, push up the remote fuel door unlock button. (Excluding vehicles with a body "station wagon").
If for some reason the remote control does not work, open the trunk lid and pull the handle located on the inside of the rear trunk lid to open the fuel door.
Gas tank cap
To remove the cover, turn it counterclockwise and remove.
When you put the cover back on, make sure it fits snugly.
Comment! If the fuel tank cap does not open due to low outside temperature, push or lightly tap the cap to open.
Carefully!
- If it is necessary to replace the fuel tank safety gasket, use only safety gaskets made by Mazda or another manufacturer specified for your vehicle.
- During refueling, the engine must be stopped. No fire or spark near the fuel tank opening is allowed. Gasoline vapors can be extremely dangerous under certain conditions.
Fuel
(for vehicles with petrol engine)
(leaded gasoline)
Your Mazda vehicle can operate efficiently with regular leaded or lead-free gasoline, provided the engine has been tuned to the manufacturer's recommended specifications.
[ For 2.0 and 2.01 models]
Use lead-free or lead-free fuel with an octane rating greater than or equal to 95.
(Lead free gasoline)
Use only lead-free gasoline with an octane rating of at least 91 (95) * (R.O.N.) or DIM 51 607.
* (95) Only for 2.0i models (16 valve)
Carefully! If you use leaded gasoline, it will not damage your car immediately. Lead oxide deposits in the catalyst and in the exhaust gas control system. What causes poor functioning of the system and thus a decrease in performance. If your engine is not running well, contact a Mazda Dealer immediately.
For diesel engines
Your vehicle can operate efficiently if the engine is tuned to the manufacturer's specifications, with fuel having a gross specific weight of 0.82 (octane rating 40 or higher).
