Cover of a forward casing — removal and installation

Removing

1. Remove drive cover (Chapter 3) and timing belt (Chapter 5).

2. Remove the camshaft sprocket (Chapter 6).

3. Remove the bolts and carefully separate the cover from the cylinder head and use a screwdriver to break the gasket.

Installation

4. Gently clean the contact surfaces of the gasket material.

5. Position the shroud using a new gasket and install the mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts with the tightening force specified in the Specifications.

6. The rest of the installation is carried out in reverse order.
