Rear oil seal installation details
1. Transmission; 2. Clutch (mechanical transmission); 3. Flywheel (mechanical transmission) or drive disk (automatic transmission); 4. Oil seal
1. If the flywheel ring gear teeth are damaged, the mechanism can be replaced as follows. (The ring gear of the drive plate cannot be separated from the drive plate).
2. Remove the flywheel as described in Chapter 20.
3. Heat the ring gear with a blowtorch and knock it out of the flywheel with a hammer and punch.
4. Heat the new ring gear to 250-300°C, preferably in an oven or oil bath. Place the heated gear on the flywheel. The beveled side of the mechanism must face the engine. If necessary, hammer the mechanism with a hammer and drift.
5. Install flywheel (Chapter 20).
