Warning: Gasoline is extremely flammable so take extra precautions when working on any part of the fuel system. Do not smoke or be near open flames or incandescent lamps.
1. If a part of the metal fuel line is replaced, only seamless steel pipe should be used, as copper or aluminum does not have sufficient durability.
2. If only one part of the metal fuel line is damaged, this part can be disconnected and replaced with a piece of rubber hose. Make sure you only use a reinforced fuel resistant hose that has an identifying word «Fluroclastomer». The inner diameter of the hose must match the outer diameter of the metal tube. The rubber hose should be cut ten centimeters larger than the piece to be replaced, so that there is about five centimeters of overlap between the rubber and metal line at both ends.
3. If a metal line part larger than 12cm is to be replaced, use a combination of metal tube and rubber hose so that the length of the rubber hose does not exceed 25cm.
4. Never use rubber hose within 10 cm of any part of the exhaust system or catalytic converter.
