Warning: Fluid can be very hot.
2. Remove the pan clamp bolts and the pan itself.
3. Remove all traces of the old gasket from the sump and/or transmission case. Be careful not to scratch the metal or allow dirt to enter the transmission.
4. Install a new gasket to the transmission case, using a dab of clean grease to hold it in place.
5. Install the pallet and insert the bolts. Gradually tighten the bolts with the tightening force specified in the Specifications.
6. Install the drain plug, then fill the transmission with fresh fluid (Section 1, Chapter 28).
7. Take a short trip and inspect the sump for leaks.
