2. Drain approximately 1.1 liters of fluid from the transmission so that its level drops below the vacuum diaphragm (Section 1).
3. Disconnect the vacuum hose and remove the vacuum diaphragm from the transmission.
4. Connect the vacuum pump to the diaphragm and check that the plunger moves when vacuum is applied. If the pushrod does not move or is less than 2.5 cm mixed, replace the diaphragm.
5. Apply sealant to the diaphragm threads before installation.
6. After installation, check the fluid level and add it as needed (Section 1).
