Raise the rear of the vehicle and secure it on stands.
Remove the brake pad assembly.
Thoroughly clean all dirt from the area around the working brake cylinder.
Unscrew the union nut, disconnect and close the brake pipe with a suitable plug. Remove the two brake cylinder mounting bolts.
Remove the brake slave cylinder from the rear brake guard and place on a clean workbench.
Depress the brake pedal several times so that the brake shoes are installed with a certain clearance in relation to the brake drum.
