Loosen the locknut and disconnect the parking brake cable sheath from the caliper bracket.

Disconnect the parking brake cable from the caliper lever (pic. 14.34).
Unscrew and remove the upper and lower caliper guide pins. Detach the caliper from the bracket and place it on the rear brake guard so as not to stretch the brake hose.
Use a screwdriver to pry the brake pads away from the caliper. Mark the position of the anti-creak spring.
Clean the inner cavity of the caliper with a brush and check the piston seal for leaks. If it leaks brake fluid, remove the caliper for repair or replace it. Remove any remnants of the outer brake pad left behind on the caliper.
Using pliers inserted into the holes, turn the piston all the way clockwise and at the same time press it into the caliper, which will allow the self-adjusting mechanism to return to its original position and increase the additional space for installing new brake pads. The end position of the cutouts must be such that the locating pin of the inner shoe fits into the inner cutout.
A tube of primer comes with new brake pads. Apply a coat of primer to the back of the outer pad just before installing it.
Install the anti-squeak spring into the holes in the brake shoes. Squeezing the two pads together, install them into the caliper, making sure that the locating pin on the outer pad fits into the hole in the piston and that the springs on the outer pad lock onto the forked ends of the caliper.
Install the caliper on the bracket. Apply some high temperature grease to the sliding surfaces of the guide pins and bushings, then screw in the guide pins and tighten to the correct torque. Finger tapers must be clean to fit snugly.
Install the parking brake cable sheath to the bracket and tighten the nut.
Connect the parking brake cable to the caliper arm.
Install the rear wheels and lower the vehicle to the ground.
Depress the brake pedal several times to set the brake pads to the working position.
