Pic. 4.21. Screw location (1) removing air from the fuel filter
Loosen the air bleed screw located on the fuel filter a few turns (pic. 4.21).
Use the manual pump located at the top of the filter to pump fuel from the fuel tank.
Pump fuel until fuel comes out through the bleeder screw without air bubbles. Turn the bleed screw under pressure from the hand pump.
Pump fuel with a hand pump until (about 15 times), until noticeable resistance is felt.
Pic. 4.22. Loosening the union nut securing the pipeline to the fuel injector to remove the air lock
If the engine does not start because an air lock has formed in the fuel line, loosen the union nuts on the fuel injectors and turn on the starter until fuel comes out of the loose connection (pic. 4.22). Then tighten the union nuts again and start the engine.
Attention! Make sure that diesel fuel does not get on the hoses of the cooling system. Otherwise, the hoses should be wiped immediately. Replace damaged hoses.
