Disconnect the wire going to the positive terminal of the ignition coil.
Loosen the two screws and remove the ignition distributor cover.
Turn the crankshaft with a wrench on the pulley bolt until the piston of the first cylinder is set to the highest dead center of the compression stroke.
Apply a mark indicating the position of the ignition distributor housing plate relative to the engine rear cover; this is necessary to maintain the correct relationship.
Disconnect the vacuum hoses, unscrew the clamping bolt and remove the ignition distributor.
Attention! Do not turn the engine crankshaft after removing the ignition distributor.
Lubricate the O-ring with clean engine oil.
Insert the ignition distributor into the rear cover of the engine so that the rotor is in the position corresponding to the ignition timing in the first cylinder; align the marks made before removing the distributor, and tighten the locking bolt.
Connect the vacuum hose and wire from the ignition coil.
Establish a cover of the distributor of ignition and connect a wire to the negative plug of the storage battery.
Check the ignition setting.
Attention! Do not turn the engine crankshaft after removing the ignition distributor.
