Before starting the assembly, it is necessary to make sure that the cylinder head is clean, regardless of whether the repair was carried out in a car repair shop or in a garage.
If the cylinder head was handed over to a workshop for repair of valves, then the valves will already be installed in place assembled with all the details.
Install new oil seals on the valve guides. The landing of the oil caps on the guide bushings should be carried out with light blows of the hammer on the mandrel. Avoid turning the cap when it is seated, make sure that it sits evenly on the sleeve, otherwise the sealing of the valve stems is not ensured.
Install the valves carefully so as not to damage the flinger caps, lower spring washers, springs, poppets and circlips.
Compress the valve spring with the tool and install the cotters. Release the spring and make sure the cotters are in the top groove of the valve stem. If necessary, lubricate the studs with grease to better hold them before removing the fixture.
Install the camshaft.
Lubricate the rocker arm assembly with shafts with fresh engine oil. Install the rocker arms with shafts and tighten the bolts to the required torque in the specified sequence.
