Location of the hydraulic module
The hydraulic module is located under the master brake cylinder.
Position of the ABS sensor on the front wheel
Position of the ABS sensor on the rear wheel
ABS fault codes
If a fault is detected in the ABS system, the electronic control unit turns on the ABS warning light located on the instrument panel and stores the fault code in memory.
To read fault codes on models from 1993-1997, connect the FBS and GND terminals of the diagnostic connector.
Location of the diagnostic connector on the 1993 Ford Probe models
Connect a voltmeter to the TBS terminal and "mass" car. Turn on the ignition and count the number of deviations of the instrument needle. For example, code 22 would be displayed as two long arrow deflections and two short ones.
On 1998 models, special equipment is required to read DTCs.
