Engine oil
Oil dipstick (indicated by an arrow) located on the right rear side of the engine. The oil level must be checked before driving or 15 minutes after the engine has been switched off.
1. Remove the dipstick and wipe off the end of the dipstick. Insert the dipstick all the way into the tube and pull it out again. The oil level should be between the two lines on the dipstick. The difference in the amount of oil between the marks on the dipstick is approximately 1 liter. Add oil up to the upper mark if necessary.
2. The filler neck is located on the valve cover. The filler cap is unscrewed counterclockwise. To fill the oil, remove the filler cap, insert a funnel into the filler neck and fill in the oil.
Coolant
On models since 1998, check that the coolant level is between the MAX and MIN·marks on the side of the reservoir.
1. Regularly check the coolant level in the reservoir using a dipstick or marks on the side of the reservoir. When the engine is warm, the fluid level should rise to the upper mark. Add coolant if necessary. 2. When checking the coolant level, also check its condition. If the fluid has turned brown or rusty, it must be replaced and the cooling system flushed.
Washer fluid
The windshield washer fluid reservoir is located in the front corner of the engine compartment.
The rear window washer fluid reservoir is located in the trunk. Check that the fluid level is near the upper mark on the filler neck. In the cold season, use a special anti-freeze coolant.
Brake fluid and hydraulic clutch release fluid
The brake fluid reservoir is located in front of the vacuum booster, and the clutch release hydraulic fluid reservoir is located near the brake fluid reservoir on the rear wall of the engine compartment. Check that the fluid level is between the MAX and MIN·marks on the tank wall. Add the correct type of fluid, if necessary.
