Coolant drain
1. Remove the radiator cap by pushing the radiator cap and turning it counterclockwise and the filler cap depending on the model. Remove the expansion tank cap.
2. Open the drain plug located at the bottom of the radiator and drain the coolant from the radiator. Disconnect the lower radiator hose and drain the engine coolant. If the coolant has a rusty color, the cooling system must be flushed.
Flushing the cooling system
1. Remove the thermostat.
2. Connect the lower radiator hose back into place. Move the interior temperature control knob to position "HOT" for washing the heater heater together with the cooling system.
3. Disconnect the upper radiator hose and flush the radiator with clean running water or a special cleaner. If the radiator is heavily clogged, remove the radiator and have it flushed and/or repaired by a specialist.
Coolant fill
