Location of coolant temperature sensor (model with 6-cylinder engine)
The coolant temperature sensor is a thermistor, i.e. its resistance decreases as the sensor temperature rises.
Check that the sensor resistance at room temperature is approximately 2200-2700 ohms. Heat the sensor to a temperature of 80°C and check that its resistance has decreased to 290-350 ohms. Replace the sensor if it is defective.
Replacement
1. Disconnect the connector and carefully unscrew the sensor.
2. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
