Exhaust system elements
1. Silencer; 2. Intermediate muffler; 3. Catalytic converter; 4. Downpipe 5. Exhaust manifold; 6. Insulator (casing); 7. Oxygen sensor
Regularly inspect the exhaust system for damage, deformation, corrosion, or signs of leakage.
Check fasteners for tightness and replace if necessary.
When repairing the exhaust system, use the following recommendations:
1. When removing the exhaust system, start from the rear of the vehicle.
2. Lubricate the connections with penetrating oil to facilitate removal of the elements.
3. Use new gaskets, fasteners and clamps.
4. Lubricate threaded connections with a solution that prevents corrosion and facilitates removal.
