Removing
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. If you are removing the rear cylinder head cover, remove the intake manifold.
3. Disconnect wires from spark plugs and remove spark plugs.
4. Loosen the wire fixing screws (A), disconnect the vent valve (IN). Remove the bolts (indicated by arrows). Disconnect the hose from the tube without removing the tube itself.
5. Unscrew the two bolts securing the timing belt cover from the covers of both heads.
6. Unscrew the bolts and remove the head covers. If the lid is too tight, tap it with a wooden mallet. Do not pry the edges of the lid, otherwise you will damage them.
Installation
1. Thoroughly clean and solvent wipe the mating surfaces of the cover and cylinder head.
2. Apply sealant to the indicated locations.
3. Install the gasket into the groove on the head cover and install the cover.
4. Tighten the nuts to the required tightening torque.
5. Install the remaining parts, start the engine and check for leaks.
