To save time and labor, it is recommended to assemble in the following order:
- crankshaft and main bearings;
- guide bearing (on models with manual transmission);
- pistons assembled with connecting rods;
- rear oil seal and gland cover;
- oil pump and oil separator;
- oil pan;
- flywheel with clutch mechanism;
- front engine mount bracket;
- water pump;
- cylinder head, camshaft, valve control mechanism;
- middle cover and front seal;
- camshaft timing belt drive gears and tensioner;
- toothed belt and belt covers;
- fuel pump;
- back cover;
- block head cover;
- emergency oil pressure sensor;
- oil filter;
- thermostat with housing;
- ignition distributor, candles, high-voltage wires;
- coolant supply pipes with hoses;
- intake and exhaust manifolds;
- generator and brackets;
- exhaust emission reduction system.
