1. Knock out the old seal from the casing.
2. Lightly lubricate the outer surface of the oil seal with assembly oil or engine oil, install the oil seal in the bore of the rear cover.
3. Using a mandrel, evenly press in the oil seal until it is fully seated. The gland lips must face inward during installation.
4. Apply a layer of sealant to the gasket and to the contact surfaces of the rear cover.
5. Lubricate the seal lip lightly with oil, reinstall the gasket and tighten the bolts. Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
6. Carefully cut off the part of the gasket protruding beyond the dimensions of the rear cover, which comes into the mating plane of the oil pan.
