Attention! The air conditioning system is under pressure. Do not disconnect the system piping until it is discharged. The refrigerant must be properly removed and sent for regeneration to a service station or a specialized station that has the appropriate equipment.
Removing
1. Discharge the air conditioning system (to do this, contact a specialized station).
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Caution: If your car's audio system is equipped with an anti-theft protection, make sure you know the unlock code before disconnecting the battery.
3. Remove the compressor drive belt (see chapter 1).
4. Block the rear wheels so that the car does not move. Raise the front of the vehicle at least 30 cm and place it on jack stands. Remove the mudguard from under the engine.
5. Disconnect the refrigerant lines and compressor electrical connector (pic. 17.5). Turn out bolts of fastening of the compressor and remove the compressor from the engine.
Installation
6. If a new compressor is being installed, drain the oil into a graduated container. Pour the same amount of new oil into the compressor plus 20 ml. Use only the type of oil that is compatible with your system's refrigerant.
7. Install the compressor in sequence. reverse withdrawal. Tighten the compressor mounting bolts securely. When replacing o-rings, keep in mind that the o-rings must match the type of refrigerant in your air conditioner. Do not lubricate the union nuts with compressor oil.
8. Take the system to a specialist station for charging and testing.
