Attention! Models described in this manual. equipped with airbags. When working in the cushion area, always turn them off (see chapter 12) to avoid accidental operation that could result in injury.
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Caution: If your vehicle's audio system is equipped with an anti-theft protection, make sure you know the unlock code before disconnecting the battery.
2. Drain the liquid from the cooling system (see chapter 1).
3. Remove the center console (see chapter 11). Remove the instrument panel (see chapter 11).
4. Disconnect the hoses from the heater radiator in the connectors located on the engine bulkhead (pic. 13.4).
5. Remove the bolts/nuts securing the evaporator/fan assembly and move the assembly as far to the side as possible so that it does not interfere with the removal of the heater assembly (see paragraph 19). Do not bend the refrigerant pipes.
6. Turn away nuts of fastening of the block of a heater to the front panel (pic. 13.6, a, b). Remove the unit from under the front panel Place a rag over the carpet under the heater location so as not to stain it with spilled liquid.
7. Remove the radiator from the heater block (pic. 13.7, a, b).
8. Assembly is carried out in the reverse order of disassembly.
