Attention! The models described in this manual are equipped with airbags. When working in the cushion area, always turn them off (see chapter 12) to avoid accidental operation that could result in injury. The yellow wire harness running through the console and instrument panel is related to this system. Do not tamper with the airbag wiring or attempt to test it with any test equipment.
1. Remove the center console (see chapter 11).
2. Remove the four screws that secure the selector lever position indicator (pic. 3.2) and raise the indicator.
3. Disconnect the connectors from the blocking assembly (pic. 3.3).
4. Disconnect the overdrive switch connector.
5. Disconnect the cable from the blocking unit (see paragraph 5). Loosen the locknut and release the control cable (see paragraph 4).
Note. The lock cable locks the ignition switch on the instrument panel, while the control cable is connected to the transmission selector lever.
6. Turn out screws from two parties of the handle of the lever of the selector and remove the handle.
7. Turn away nuts of fastening of a support of the selector lever (fig 3.7) and remove the support from the vehicle.
8. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Tighten the arm support nuts securely.
