Basic information about the clutch and drive shafts

This chapter provides information about the components that connect the engine to the front wheels, with the exception of the transmission described in previous chapters. The components described in this chapter are grouped into two groups: clutch and drive shafts. The paragraphs in this chapter describe and test methods for both groups.

Since almost all the procedures described in this chapter require work to be done under the vehicle, make sure the vehicle is securely jacked up before starting work.
