Warm up and stop the engine.
Remove the air filter.
Fully close the choke, blocking the throttle control sector.
Disconnect the air hose from the air damper fitting and connect a vacuum pump to the fitting.
Apply a vacuum of 400 mm Hg to the air damper diaphragm.
Measure clearance «A» between the air damper and the air nozzle, which should be within 0.85-1.35 mm for the E1 engine carburetor, and within 1.30-1.80 mm for the E3 and E5 engine carburetor.
In the event of a deviation from the norm, bend the adjusting foot of the connecting rod to the required angle.
