Specifications of the ignition system

The engine ignition system is electronic, non-contact. The ignition distributor sensor with vacuum and centrifugal ignition timing controls has a non-contact sensor (Hall Sensor), which outputs voltage pulses directly to the ignition coil.

Ignition distributor

Brand: Mitsubishi.

Initial ignition timing up to TDC: 4°±1°.

Ignition coil

Resistance of the secondary winding, kOhm: 10-30.

Spark plug

Brand and type: NGK BPR 5ES or 6E; Denso W 16 EXR-U or W 20 EXR-U.
Gap between electrodes, mm: 0.75-0.85.

Characteristics of automatic advancing of the ignition moment: A - characteristic of the centrifugal regulator; B - characteristic of the vacuum regulator.

When checking on the stand (distributor sensor removed), reduce the value by half. When checking on a car, add the initial ignition timing.
