Take out from a wheel arch a plastic guard.
Drain the gearbox oil.
Loosen and unscrew the hub fastening nut on the outer joint housing of the wheel drive shaft.
To make loosening the nut easier, block the wheel hub by depressing the brake pedal.
Disconnect the anti-roll bar from the front suspension arm.
Disconnect the ball joint of the suspension arm from the steering knuckle by unscrewing the bolt of its fastening.
Remove the tip of the inner joint of the wheel drive shaft from the semi-axial gears of the gearbox, proceeding in the following sequence:
- insert the lever between the gearbox housing and the internal shaft joint;
- gradually remove the tip of the inner joint of the wheel drive from the hole of the side gear, applying force to the steering knuckle and at the same time hitting the end of the lever (see photo).
Unscrew the nut securing the outer shaft joint, while removing the support washer. Disconnect the shaft from the steering knuckle and remove the wheel drive.
Note: If the shaft is locked in the hub, use a wheel hub puller to remove it.
Remove the other wheel drive in the same way.
Warning! It is forbidden to move the car after removing the wheel drive shaft to avoid turning the side gears inside the differential.
