- Prolonged vibration of the body when the road is uneven.
- Rocking of the body in the presence of successive bumps in the road.
- Raising the front of the car during acceleration.
- The wheels bounce even on a normal road.
- Failure of the brake system during braking (may have other reasons).
- Erratic cornering due to poor wheel handling».
- Noises while driving. The shock absorber can be checked by hand. However, an accurate check of the shock absorber is only possible with a shock tester (shock absorber installed) or a special shock absorber test machine.
Hand checking
1. Remove shock absorber.
2. While holding the shock absorber in the installation position, stretch and compress it at least three times. The shock absorber should move evenly throughout its travel, heavy and without jerks, and no unusual noise should be heard.
3. Fully retract the piston rod and then release. The piston should move back at a uniform speed.
4. With perfect operation, small traces of oil should not be a reason to replace the shock absorber.
5. In case of severe oil loss, the shock absorber should be replaced.
6. Install shock absorber.
