Removing
1. Set the wheels to the middle position.
2. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
Attention! This erases the data from the engine fault memory or the radio's security code. Before disconnecting the battery, read the instructions in Section Removing and installing the battery.
3. Unscrew the lining bolts (horn key) on the back of the steering wheel. Remove cover.
4. Unscrew the steering wheel bolts using a socket with an extension.
5. Remove the steering wheel with a suitable puller from the steering shaft.
Attention! Do not strike the steering column with a hammer, as this will cause it to collapse.
Installation
1. Check that the direction indicator lever is in the middle position, otherwise the cam may be damaged when installing the steering wheel.
2. Put the steering wheel on the shaft spline so that the spokes are horizontal.
3. Tighten the steering wheel bolt firmly 40 Nm.
4. Connect the battery ground cable, check the operation of the sound signal.
5. Carry out a test drive and, when driving in a straight line, check the installation of the steering wheel. The steering wheel spokes must be horizontal, otherwise adjust the wheel accordingly.
6. Check the automatic return of the turn signal lever.
7. If available, set the clock and set the radio security code.
