In this case, your engine must not be started by pushing or towing the vehicle. Use an auxiliary battery or another vehicle's battery and auxiliary cables.
Vehicles with manual transmission
In order to start the vehicle - provided the battery is not dead - the following steps must be followed to prepare the vehicle. To avoid damage, check that the bumpers of both vehicles are at the same height, protect the bumpers with covers or other pads.
1. Turn off all unnecessary electrical appliances.
2. Set the ignition key to position «ON (II)».
3. Before pushing, depress the clutch and engage third gear.
4. When the vehicle accelerates to about 15 km/h, slowly engage the clutch and depress the accelerator pedal halfway until the engine starts.
Attention! Never start the vehicle by towing, as both vehicles may be damaged due to the sudden jerk forward when starting the engine.
Note. A battery that is too weak can be identified by the following symptoms (on diesel vehicles):
Note. Failure of glow plugs (at an outside temperature below 20°C).
Note. The fuel cutoff valve remains open. In both cases, the engine cannot be started.
