General description of the carburetor

Each carburetor is tested and adjusted at the factory. Nothing can be changed in this setting. High fuel consumption and insufficient engine power almost always have other causes, among which driving style and conditions play an important role. As a rule, it is enough to confine ourselves to careful adjustment of idle speed and CO composition. Proper idle adjustment is much more important than is commonly thought, as it affects the operation of the engine up to medium speeds.

Note. The carburetor screws, which can be used to change the composition of the exhaust gases, must be protected by seals by law. If the carburetor has seals, they can be removed with pliers or a screwdriver. It is advisable to screw a suitable self-tapping screw into the seal and remove it together with the seal. In doing so, they are destroyed. After adjustment, the screws must be protected with new seals.
