Pic. 8.66. Capacitor: 1 - capacitor; 2 – cooling element; 3 – additional cooling element; 4 - receiver / moisture separator
The aftercooled condenser separates the gaseous and liquid phases of the refrigerant initially cooled in the condenser into a receiver/dryer where the refrigerant is returned to the aftercooler element and cooled again to accelerate liquefaction and improve cooling capacity.
