Opening and closing power windows from outside the vehicle

All windows can be opened or closed from outside the vehicle after the doors and tailgate/liftgate are closed. The windows can be opened or closed from the outside of the vehicle regardless of the position of the passenger door power window lock button, which is located on the driver's door armrest.

The power windows cannot be operated from outside the vehicle in the following cases:

• one of the side doors or the trunk lid/liftgate is open;
• the key is inserted into the ignition lock;
• the starter switch handle is depressed and recessed into the ignition switch (wearable card vehicles «Advanced Key»).

Automatic remote window opening

You can open the windows to ventilate the cabin before getting into the car. To do this, press the unlock button on the remote control (see fig. 1.88) and keep it pressed. Once the doors, trunk lid and tailgate are unlocked, the windows will automatically open fully.

To stop lowering the windows, press the unlock button.

Closing windows

If you left the windows open when you got out of the car, you can close the windows on the outside of the car. To do this, press and hold the lock button on the remote control. Once the doors/liftgate are locked, the windows will close.
