Range switch lever lock (automatic transmission)

The locking system does not allow you to move the lever out of position «R» (parking), unless the brake pedal is depressed.

To move the lever out of position «R» (parking), do the following.

1. Press and hold the brake pedal down.

2. Start the engine.

3. Move the range switch lever.

Note. Range switch lever cannot be moved out of position «R» (parking), if the ignition switch is in position «ACC» (auxiliary consumers of electricity) or «LOCK» (blocking). As a precaution, the ignition key cannot be removed from the ignition switch unless the range selector lever is in the «R» (parking) (Cars with wearable card «Advanced Key»)

Ignition switch cannot be turned from position «ACC» (auxiliary consumers of electricity) into position «LOCK» (blocking), if the range selector lever is not in the «R» (parking).
