Warning! When opening the filler neck of the fuel tank, first unscrew the cap a little and wait until the release of fuel vapors stops, accompanied by a characteristic hissing sound. Then fully unscrew and remove the cover. Fuel splatter can spurt out of the filler neck if the fuel tank is overpressurized and the filler cap is loosened and removed too quickly. Before filling the fuel tank, stop the engine and always keep the filler neck clear of sparks and open flames. Fuel vapors can be easily ignited by sparks or open flames, which can cause severe burns and injury. Also, using a fuel cap that is not designed for your vehicle, or missing a cap on the filler neck, can cause fuel to leak or splash out and result in severe burns or death in the event of an accident.
