To unlock the hood lock, pull the handle located to the left of the steering column (pic. 1.37). The vehicle must be stationary.

Move the latch to the side to unlock the lock and open the hood (pic. 1.38).

Take the support stand by the pad (pic. 1.39).

Insert the top end of the strut into the slot on the hood (pic. 1.40).
Before closing the hood, inspect the engine compartment and check that all fillers are covered with caps and any foreign objects (e.g. tools, oil containers, etc.) removed from the engine compartment.
While holding the hood up, lower the strut and secure it to the holder. Before closing the hood, check that the stop post is locked in the holder.
Close the hood so that the lock is securely locked.
