Removing the timing chain tensioner

Push the chain tensioner connection plate through the service hole on the left side using a thin flat head screwdriver (precision screwdriver).



Slowly take the plunger back in the direction shown in Figure 2.256, while the connecting plate must remain recessed.

Release the connecting plate while pressing the plunger.

Slightly loosen the pressure on the plunger and move the plunger back and forth 2-3mm.



Insert a thick wire or paper clip approximately 1.5 mm thick into the holes in the connection plate and tensioner body (holes must be aligned) for fixing the connecting plate and plunger (pic. 2.257).
