Checking the idle speed

Switch off electrical consumers and warm up the engine.

Start the engine.

Maintain the engine speed at approximately 3000 min^-1 until the cooling fans begin to operate.

Release the throttle control pedal.

Wait for the cooling fans to turn off.

Make sure the idle speed is (WDS: PID min^-1) compliant using WDS or equivalent.
