Pic. 2.170. Place of installation of the calibrated plastic wire
Place pieces of calibrated plastic wire on top of the camshaft journals, placing them along the axis (2.170).
Install the connecting rod bearing and connecting rod cap.
Remove the connecting rod cover.
Measure the radial clearance of the connecting rod.
If the clearance is not correct, replace the connecting rod bearing or grind the crankshaft journal and use oversized bearings to achieve the specified clearance.
- Normal gap: 0.026-0.052 mm
- Max Gap: 0.10mm
