Warning! Improper handling of the front seat belt (seat belt with pretensioner) may result in accidental activation of the pretensioner and serious injury.
Attention! The side airbag sensor is attached to the bottom of the B-pillar.
Attention! When working in the B-pillar area, disconnect the negative cable from the battery or work carefully to avoid excessive impact on the bottom of the B-pillar.
Attention! Do not disassemble the seat belt tensioner.
Attention! The tensioner spring, which unwinds when the tensioner cover is removed, cannot be wound by hand. In this case, the tensioner will not work properly.
Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
Disconnect the negative cable from the battery and wait at least 1 minute.
Remove the lower trim of the center pillar.

Using a screwdriver, pry up the seat belt connector limiter plate with pretensioner (pic. 8.62).
Disconnect the pretensioner seat belt connector.
Remove the cover.

Remove the bolts and screw, then remove the front seat belt (pic. 8.63).
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Check that the airbag warning light comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes out.
If the airbag warning light does not work as described above, there is a problem with the system. Check the system using the on-board diagnostic function.
