Pic. 1.71. Rear window washer mode
The headlight washer can only operate when the engine is running and the headlights are on. The headlight washer automatically turns on every fifth time the windshield washer is turned on. If you want to turn on the headlight washer, press the wiper control lever twice (pic. 1.71).
If air gets into the headlight washer tubes (e.g. when filling the washer reservoir for the first time on a new vehicle or after filling an empty reservoir while the vehicle is in service), fluid will not be applied to the headlight lenses even when the control lever is pressed. In this case, do the following:
- start the engine;
- turn on the headlights;
- operate the headlight washer several times by double-pressing the wiper control lever until fluid begins to flow to the headlight lenses.
