Check up a condition and tightness of all connections of hoses of system of cooling of the engine and a heater. Replace any deformed or damaged hoses.
Pic. 1.180. Checking the coolant level
On a cold engine, the coolant level should be at the base of the radiator filler neck and between the top («FULL») and bottom («LOW») markings on the wall of the expansion tank (pic. 1.180).
If the coolant level has dropped to the lower mark («LOW»), add coolant to the expansion tank and bring its level to the upper mark («FULL»). To prevent freezing of the coolant and to provide anti-corrosion protection of the engine, use only the recommended grade and concentration of coolant for topping up.
Note. If there is a marking on or near the radiator or expansion tank cap «FL22», then only FL22 coolant should be added.
